KENNETH L. EHRLE, 65, of Springfield, died unexpectedly in his home on Tuesday, July 20, 2010.
He was born in Springfield on December 21, 1944 the son of Clifford and Evelyn (Whipp) Ehrle.
Ken was a graduate of South High School and was life-long resident of Springfield. He retired from International Harvester and was recently employed by AVI and St. John's Lutheran Church.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Judy L. (Courlas) Ehrle; son, Douglas (Rebecca) Ehrle of Huntsville, Alabama; three grandsons, Nathan, Samuel and Liam; nephew, Rick; and his dog, Willie Nelson.
He was preceded by his parents and a brother, Bruce.
He had many interests including motorcycles, the beach, oil painting, volksmarching, and gardening.
A celebration of Ken's life will be held on Saturday July 24th from 1:00-4:00 PM at St. John's Lutheran Church 27 N.Wittenberg Ave., Springfield.
