Tonya Sue Bowers Nachtrieb, 52, of Springfield, was taken as one of God's Angel's on July 16, 2010.
Born in Goshen, Indiana on May 6, 1958, she resided in Ashland, Ohio until August of 1973 when her family moved to Springfield, Ohio. Tonya was a graduate of Springfield Shawnee High School, a homemaker, and the love of her life was her grandson, Alexander (AJ).
Tonya is survived by her husband of ten years, Paul Nachtrieb; daughter Kaitlin Ann Schaefer, and her husband, Josh and their son, Alexander of Columbus. Also surviving are her parents, Barbara and George Snook of Springfield; siblings, Melody Metz of Springfield, Teri Snook and Thomas (Beth) Snook of Toledo, Ohio; along with numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceeded in death by her father Eugene Paul Bowers.
The family would like to thank Dr. Singh, Dr. McKee and the staff and nurses at Springfield Regional Medical center for their compassion and care of Tonya during her short illness.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made in Tonya's name to the local Hospice of the donor's choice.
Tonya's funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME.
A gathering of family and friends will be held one hour prior to the service.
Burial will be in Ferncliff Cemetery.
