MABEL L. KEIFER, 85, of Springfield passed away Wednesday morning, July 14, 2010 in the Forest Glen Health Campus.
She was born February 7, 1925, the daughter of Claude and Myrtle (Damron) Kiser.
Mabel was a member of the Emery Chapel United Methodist Church for many years. She was a member of the Green Special Homemaker's Club and enjoyed entering different bake goods in the Clark County Fair. She also was the Co-Chairman of the Homemaker's Style Show at the fair for many years. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mabel will be sadly missed by her family and friends.
Survivors include two daughters and one son-in-law, Joetta and Rick Shellabarger of Plain City, Ohio and Rhonda Kalina of Euclid, Ohio; three sisters, Ada Burge of Point Pleasant, West Virginia, Donna Horton of Grayson, Kentucky and Helen (Gary) Burton of Ashland, Kentucky; two brothers, Earl (Noi) Kiser and Gene Kiser both of Grayson, Kentucky; nine grandchildren, Joe Olson, Dave (Emily) Kalina, Jeff Shellabarger, Annie (Bob) Decker, Linda Olson, Daniel (Christa) Olson, Jillian (Zack) Tobias, Keenan Kalina and Chris (Sarah) Kalina; six great grandchildren, Bryice Olson, Kaden and Bryson Decker, Haylie and Jackson Kalina and Avery Tobias and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Joseph Boggs and Don Keifer; one daughter, Carin Olson; two sisters, Madge and Freida and two brothers, Howard and Lit.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Friday, July 16, 2010 from 5-8 p.m. in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 12:30 p.m. in the Emery Chapel United Methodist Church, 3500 Springfield-Xenia Road, Springfield.
Burial will follow in the Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.
