DEANNA R. KEENE (CHILDS), 70, of Springfield, went to be with the Lord Monday evening, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Springfield on March 16, 1940 the daughter of the late Norman and Charlotte (Georges) Thompson.
Deanna retired from Mercy Medical Center where she worked at Bright Beginnings and as a telephone operator. She attended New Hope Foursquare Church.
She is survived by her four children, Mark Keene, Renee DePriest, and David Keene, all of Springfield, and Nicole Keene of Dayton; her children's partners whom she dearly loved, Nicki, Curt, Doug, and Teresa; three sisters, Susie Curtis, Barb Hunt, and Letha Carlisle; two brothers, Tom Thompson and Tim Thompson; grandchildren, Summer Love (Chris), Taylor, and Danny; and several great grandchildren.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 5-7 p.m. Thursday in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday in the funeral home with Pastor Kevin Moehn officiating.
Burial will be in Ferncliff Cemetery.
